Target Group

McKenzie’s Mission provides support to all ages of adults, people with developmental disabilities, advanced age, memory issues, elopement risks, nonverbal, altered mental status, confusion, and other high-level support needs, including medical needs.  McKenzie’s Mission supports both male and female residents, has 24-hour supervisory staff available, and is licensed for up to four residents per house. Personal cares, feeding needs, transportation, therapies, nursing needs, job support, community involvement, behavioral modification, or any other individualized plans can be provided or coordinated upon request.

Home and Community Resources

McKenzie’s Mission has 2 homes, conveniently located in Sheboygan County, WI. Mickey’s house and Judy’s house, both have two individual rooms and one room that can accommodate two residents, for those who prefer having a roommate.  Both homes are in family friendly neighborhoods conveniently located near churches, parks, medical centers and stores.  Both homes are close to Evergreen Camp, RCS and Paragon for residents who wish to participate in those programs.  There is a company van for transportation.  Both homes have large yards with plenty of deck space for outdoor time.  Mickey’s House has an outdoor pool and Judy’s House has a hot tub. Both locations will be utilized by all of McKenzie’s Mission residents.

Purpose

McKenzie’s Mission’s purpose is to provide a cozy, comfortable safe haven which each resident can call home.  It is a place where each resident will have the opportunity to be a valued member of a loving second family; eating, praying, laughing, going on outings and playing games together.  We strive to provide a homelike atmosphere, where residents can stay home all day and night, or come and go as the individual safely chooses and is capable of.  Our goal is to improve each resident’s quality of life through allowing them to live their life to their fullest potential, providing support whenever or wherever possible and needed.
